Couples don’t always live the happy life that everyone wishes for once they are married, they also face certain difficulties. And this is the case of this couple, Hae-In a big businesswoman who comes from a rich family and has quite a lot of power in the society married Hyun-Woo a country boy. During the first three years of their marriage their relationship is fading, and as Hyu-Woo is having such a hard time for one reason or another he goes so far as to consider divorce, but just at that moment Hae-In discovers that she suffers from an incurable brain tumour. What will Hyun-Woo do, will he support her or abandon her at her most vulnerable moment?
This superb series offers a high quality moral insight into the family. As it progresses, you will delve into two opposing worlds and their respective families, appreciating true family values such as love, communication, support, trust and help.
The plot revolves around the central theme of marriage. The protagonist is in a deep crisis and is considering divorce, but everything changes when he discovers that his wife is terminally ill. Throughout the episodes, we will see how they face this difficult situation together, or not.
The series surprises us with agile, fast-paced, entertaining and sometimes moving episodes. The main characters fill the screen with their impressive chemistry, and their conversations are worth recording. And then there’s the handsome couple that make up the leads.
The costumes also play an important role. The protagonist lives in a mansion, which seems to me a small house to store so many clothes and luxury brands: Chanel, Chloe, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Miu Miu, Saint Laurent and Rochas are part of her extensive wardrobe.
In short, this series is highly recommendable from all points of view. Actors, script, addictiveness, cinematography and soundtrack: all deserve a round 10. We don’t see a single “but”. Well, just one “but”: why are the bad guys so bad? And why do they seem smarter than the good guys?
All in all, *The Queen of Tears* will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout its 16 episodes, with unexpected plot twists, intense emotions and a lot of loyalty.
Kim Soo-hyun plays Baek Hyun-hoo, this gorgeous South Korean actor and model is known for his roles in My Love from the Star and Crash Landing on You. In this series, he has won the hearts of many female fans.
And no wonder: he makes the perfect husband, regardless of whether you’re married or not. You’ll want a husband like that.
The in-laws adore him, which is rare in Korean series, especially when the guy is the poor guy and the girl is a billionaire.
Baek Hyun-hoo is a legal virtuoso and the CFO of the Queen Group. He is in charge of solving all the billionaire family’s problems, of which there are many. He has the respect of all the members of his in-laws; he has earned his position and position through hard work. I find it curious that in the series, when there is a legal problem, everyone shuts up and listens attentively when he speaks. He always knows how to respond at the right moment.
Kim Ji-won plays Hong Hae-in, president of Queens Department Store and heiress to an empire. We simply love her!
She is cool, self-assured and smart. By chance, she ends up falling in love with the poor but intelligent boy with great potential.
With an overwhelming personality, what at first seems white turns black and vice versa. Nothing is what it seems, and discovering it in this drama is a delight.
This South Korean actress came to our attention with her supporting but strong roles in The Heirs, where she played the antagonist and won the New Star Award. She also rose to popularity in Descendants of the Sun.
After the success of Queen of Tears, her career is on the rise. We can’t wait to see her again, and she already holds a top spot on Qkdramas.
Park Sung-hoon plays the baddie of the drama, and he does it so well that he had to send out a statement on social media urging people to hate his character, but not him.
He’s evil to the core, and because of him, you’ll be looking forward to another episode.
It was recently announced that he will be in The Squid Game 2. We hope to see more of him, but please don’t make us suffer so much.
It’s a gem, one of those that you discover and when you finish the last episode, you find a void. You don’t know what to watch because you don’t think you’ll find another series as good. Fortunately, in the Korean world there is so much to choose from that, after a few days, you manage to recover.
It is highly recommended at all levels and for all tastes. Love, humour, drama, intrigue, anguish, pain… you’ll find everything and more in this series. Enjoy!
The songs express how I feel watching this series “The reason of my smiles”.
We have seen the main actors before in other K-dramas, and they never disappoint.
Absolutely!!! You’re going to want to see them all the time.
Technically, the ending is superb, but the last scene, which made us cry our eyes out, is left out.
