Information

Stray Kids is a South Korean boy band formed in 2017 by JYP Entertainment through a reality show of the same name. The eight members of the group were chosen by Bang Chan (the leader of the group, for this reason he is also said to be a mastermind of their success) and consists of eight members: Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N.

Stray Kids is known for their diverse musical style that includes K-pop, hip hop, rock, R&B and electronica. Since their official debut with the song ‘District 9’, they have released several successful albums and EPs, such as ‘I Am Not’, ‘Clé 1: Miroh’, and ‘Noeasy’. In addition, they have gained international recognition, being named ‘K-pop Leaders’ by Billboard magazine and ‘Next Generation Leaders’ by Time magazine.

The band is also known for their energy on stage and their ability to connect with fans through their lyrics and performances. And by fans we also mean famous people such as Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman (Deadpool and Lovezno stars), Chris Hemsworth, John Cena, Emma Stone, Liam Payne (former member of One Direction) and many more.

Here are some reasons why you should be STAY, if you’re not already:

  • Creativity and Own Production: The members of Stray Kids not only sing and dance, but also write and produce most of their songs. The 3RACHA sub-unit has composed more than 100 songs each, and the rest of the members have participated in the composition of other songs, but still 3RACHA is the creative core of the group.
  • Striking choreography: Their live performances are known for their complex and energetic choreographies. The members also participate in the creation of these choreographies, which gives their performances their personal touch. Any dance practice you see will leave you absolutely spellbound.
  • Fan Connection: Stray Kids has a strong connection with their fans, known as ‘STAY’ (and I am proud to be one of them). In addition, Felix and Bang Chan are fluent in English because of their Australian background and are able to communicate more easily with international fans. Their lyrics often address themes of self-discovery and self-improvement, which resonates deeply with their audience. For example:
    • “Social Path (feat. LiSA)”: It explores the personal journey of overcoming adversity and remaining steadfast in the pursuit of one’s dreams, despite the difficulties and loneliness that may arise along the way.
    • “My Pace”: The lyrics emphasise that it is not necessary to compare yourself with others and that it is okay to move at your own pace.
  • Personality:Each member has a unique personality that makes them stand out from the rest, and of course makes their entire fandom fall in love with every part of them from top to bottom.

If I had to sum up Stray Kids in just a few words they would be: funny, fun and above all, the word that describes them perfectly, CHAOTIC!
