Three different characters, each with a different story, Yeo Joon a boy who is funny, with a bright and cheerful appearance, who seems that everything is going well for him, but deep down he is suffering inside without anyone knowing it, Nam Soo Hyun a serious, cutting and rude boy, who has economic difficulties and Kim So Bin a sincere and honest girl, who as a child her parents divorced and her mother abandoned her, so she suffers a trauma of social acceptance, together they must face the realities of life, love and friendship at university.
A story in which three characters totally opposed to each other, due to different circumstances in life, end up becoming each other’s family. The series highlights values such as effort, teamwork, giving without expecting anything in return, forgiveness and friendship, but be careful, not just any kind of friendship will do; self-interested friendships can be harmful and damaging. This drama has become really famous because they have made several different versions in China, Thailand…
We started watching it believing that it was going to be the typical series of young university students with jokes and laughs but then as we went deeper into each chapter we realised that the problems that each one of them has are no joke. What a terrible thing each one of them suffers. What pitiful lives until they come together and complement each other, creating even comic situations, they comfort each other and you see how beautiful a friendship can be.
I’m left with phrases as beautiful as these:
Kang Min-ah, the definition of sweetness is this girl, she is what you call “very cute”. We met her in her role as the protagonist’s best friend in true beauty but obviously she has developed a role a thousand times more important giving life to Kim So-Bin, she will be the one who manages to connect a group of students for the development of a university group work that will change the lives of all its members.
She has a deep and endearing role, she will give the light that our protagonist needs to come out of the shadows. The chemistry between the two is incredible and what we liked the most is to see them holding hands and laughing out loud walking around the campus.
Yeo Joon, the handsome and wealthy protagonist, surprises us with the complexity of his feelings in the series, where friendship always prevails. Unlike other protagonists, especially in American series, Yeo Joon is not simply a good guy. He uses unorthodox methods to achieve his goals, such as separating the girl he likes from a one-sided love or discovering the mistreatment of his best friend. Throughout the story, we experience a rollercoaaster of emotions as we watch him smile or cry bitterly, making our hearts shrink.
This story brings together three people with seemingly nothing in common: friends, family and shared interests. However, friendship manages to unite them in a bond beyond imagination. The stories told are not fictional; they could happen in any high school. The courage and effort with which they face and overcome real-life challenges is inspiring. This series makes us understand that fame and money are not everything, but that love and friendship will always come first.
Don’t think it’s your typical college kids and laughs series. From the outside, the lives of young people may seem simple, which is why the title marks it as such (from the outside it looks green). However, from the inside, they have more complicated problems and realities. If you like series with a lot of feeling, realism and real life lessons, this is definitely the series for you. Moreover, it will teach you true values about friendship in every episode.
I love songs like Park Ji-Hoon’s “Talk to me”
The actors are good, they’re not great actors, but they play their roles very well.
Without further ado, neither good nor bad
We think they could have closed the story a bit more.
